Madonna High School proudly announces that Troy Fetty has been appointed the new Head Football Coach. Coach Fetty is a passionate and accomplished leader who brings experience and dedication to player development on and off the field. With his proven track record and commitment to excellence, he is poised to take the Blue Dons’ football program to new heights.

Coach Fetty’s journey includes various stints as an Assistant Football Coach at Brooke, Buckeye Local, Edison, and Weir High Schools. He has also served as a Junior High Head Wrestling Coach at Buckeye Local and Weir Middle Schools and, most recently, as the Head Softball Coach at Buckeye Local, showcasing his versatility and commitment to inspiring players.

Throughout Coach Fetty’s football coaching career, he has achieved remarkable milestones and significantly impacted the teams he mentored. In 2021 at Buckeye Local High School, Coach Fetty’s expertise resulted in their first playoff appearance since 2009 and securing the program’s first V.A.L.E.S. Trophy Game win against Harrison Central. At Weir High School, he played a role in their State Semifinal appearance in 2018 and helped in their first playoff victory since 2008. Additionally, Coach Fetty’s contributions to the team earned Weir High School four consecutive WVSSAC AA playoff appearances. He also assisted at Brooke High School during the 2010 West Virginia A.A.A. State Championship Game and contributed to the victorious West Virginia Squad in the 2010 O.V.A.C. All-Star Game. Beyond on-field success, he also nurtured 21 young men who continued their athletic and academic careers at the college level. These highlights exemplify Coach Fetty’s commitment to excellence and player development throughout his coaching journey.

Madonna High School is thrilled to have Coach Fetty at the helm and is confident that his passion for the game and coaching knowledge will empower the Blue Dons to maintain their tradition of excellence on and off the gridiron.
