Madonna claimed two state championships during the State Competition held last week in Charleston, West Virginia. Senior Gianna Anile, Sophomore Chloe Conner, Junior Cameron Dowiak and Senior Emilie Pollard defended its title in the 4×400 (4:15.49) and set a state meet record in doing so. In addition, Senior Marcello Biondillo won the long jump at 20-7.
Also finishing in the top six and earning medals were:
- Chloe Conner second in 400 (1:01.52).
- Molly Pavan, Lea Colantonio, Gianna Anile and Chloe Conner sixth in 4×200 (1:46.95).
- Hannah Barger, Gabriella Anile, Tessie Tokash and Dominique Brown fourth in shuttles (1:10.62).
- Hannah Barger, Gabrielle Kotten, Cameron Dowiak and Emily Pollard sixth in 4×800 (10:40.88).
- Richard Daddario, Tavon Jeter, Levi Shreve and Marquise Jeter third in 4×200 (1:35.44) and fourth in 4×100 (45.83).
- Marquise Jeter fifth in 200 (23.63).
