The Madonna High school student body gathered on Tuesday Morning for Día de los Muertos Day to celebrate the memories of our deceased loved ones. There are many different customs but the idea is the same. Family and friends go to the cemetery to celebrate deceased by honoring them with their favorite foods, drinks and music.
Our Spanish III students read the history of the celebration to the student body in front of the ofrenda (altar/statue) adorned with calaveras, papel picado and mums. After the reading all the students recited the Our Father and Hail Mary (PadreNuestro y
Dios de Salve Maria) in Spanish.
