CYBER DAY POLICY

 MADONNA HIGH SCHOOL

The Madonna High School “CYBER DAY” program will be used on days when school is cancelled due to unplanned events such as snow days or when a previously scheduled day off is to be used to make up school days.

A Cyber Day will count as a full school day, one of the 180 required by the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

A Cyber Day alert will also be posted on the school website (www.weirtonmadonna.org) to remind families that students should be working from home on these days. Below you will find our expectations for Cyber Days.

CYBER DAY PROCEDURES and RULES

1)  Madonna High School faculty members will post assignments to My Student’s Progress or Castle Learning for their students by 9:00 a.m. Our staff creates special lessons for this type of day.

2)  Madonna High School faculty members will answer questions regarding assignments by email from noon until 3:00 p.m.

3)  Students should email completed assignments to their teachers by 7:00 p.m. or as directed by of the teacher.

4)  All assignments will receive a grade that will be entered into My Students Progress. Students who fail to complete an assignment will receive a zero (0). If you want your paper checked before submission, look up the best essay writing service reddit for help.

 TECHNICAL PROBLEMS or ILLNESS

Parents must call the school on the Cyber Day if their child is ill and cannot do the work or are experiencing any type of technical difficulties in completing or returning their assignment. Parental calls to the school, along with a subsequent note, will allow a student who is ill or is having technical issues, to turn in the work at a later time. Likewise, students who are “absent” on a Cyber Day must make up missed assignments in accordance with school policy and teacher classroom procedures as they would for any excused absences.
