Mr. White is the Music Teacher at Madonna High School and has a B.A. in Music Education from West Liberty University He has been performing in the Ohio Valley for over 20 years. In 2012 alone, he has performed over 60 times. Sometimes as the band director, but more often playing percussion, particularly drum set. As a music educator he has worked with musicians in public schools, parochial schools, and private institutions. He has years of experience teaching students in kindergarten through college and beyond. Some of his students have gone on to have careers in music but all have gained a measure of appreciation for the subject.
While at West Liberty he participated in all the instrumental ensembles and performed three-marimba soli at the honors recital, which is reserved for the five best music students on campus. He continues to study the art of percussion and enjoys sharing musical ideas with some of the best musicians in the Ohio Valley. While his drum set playing is a priority, he also enjoys playing steel drum, marimba, kalimba, and hand drums.
He is the Director of Bands and Adjunct Lecturer of Music at Bethany College and
is currently pursuing his Masters in Music Technology with an emphasis in pedagogy at Duquesne University. He resides in Weirton with his wife and children.
