Mrs. Maria Canella is a Pittsburgh, PA native and graduate of Duquesne University. She began working as a substitute at Madonna High School in 1996 and then began full-time in 1998 teaching Spanish I, II, III and was Yearbook advisor. Mrs. Canella left in June 2004 to work in Pittsburgh. She returned in 2013 and currently teaches Spanish I and II.
Mrs. Canella and her husband live in Weirton and have four children who are MHS alumni.
