Madonna Senior, Bailey Roberts, has been announced as a National Merit Scholar Semifinalist. Bailey achieved scores on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test that rank in the top one percent in the country. According to a press release from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, approximately 16,000 students from across the country have been names semifinalists. Those semifinalists compete for approximately 8,000 National Merit Scholarships.
Bailey is the daughter of Steve and Kris Roberts and sister to Cole Roberts. She is a varsity player on the Madonna tennis team and an avid performer of musical theater. She has served as the class of 2016 representative for the past two years, and she is a member of several clubs including drama, interact, pro-life, and science club. She is excited for college next year but is undecided on which school she will attend.
