The commencement speaker for the Madonna Class of 2014 has been announced. Luci-Jo DiMaggio is a 1994 graduate of Madonna High School and a graduate three times over from Duquesne University with a Bachelors in Biology and Masters Degrees in both Secondary Education and Pastoral Ministry. She and a friend from college founded Lend-A-Hand in 1997 which since then has run annual experiences for MHS students in southern West Virginia during which the students do home repair work for economically disadvantaged families. For the last 10 years she has worked at Duquesne University in the Campus Ministry department and beginning this fall will be the new Director of Mission Animation at the university. She lives is Moon Township with her husband and two children.
Commencement will take place on Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph the Worker Church.
